Samuel Smith, MD

Dr. Smith currently holds a clinical position at Utah Valley Regional Medical and Intermountain Medical Center in Northern Utah. He also performs recurrent annual work teaching at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Smith completed his undergraduate work Magna Cum Laude honors with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Utah State University in 1994. He graduated with Phi Kappa Phi honors, earning a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) and earned his M.D. in 2000 at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He has participated in ongoing consulting work in medical informatics and health care information since graduate school. While earning his M.D. he performed research work and published on the topic of genetic regulation of intracranial malignancies. He completed his post-doctoral internship in Internal Medicine in 2001, from the University Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City and his post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University as an Anesthesia and Critical Care Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 2001-2004.
