David Squires, MD

Dr. Squires has been in private practice at Augusta Oncology Associates in Augusta, Georgia since July 2003. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He completed his oncology fellowship in June 2003 at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. During his fellowship he received a Masters of Health Sciences in Clinical Research from Duke University as part of the NCI Clinical Scholars Program. While at NCI, he was involved in clinical trials with tumor-targeted therapies. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his Internal Medicine residency (2000) and medical school at the University of Utah (1997). During medical school he was elected into the AOA medical honor society. He decided to become an oncologist in 1993 when, prior to graduating from Brigham Young University as valedictorian, he discovered his own cancer (leukemia 1993-96).
